Day 3: Clean it Up

Wow. I feel like you are already on a roll.

You have made some clear steps towards a more minimalist approach to life, and that is nothing to sneeze at! Progress is progress!

Way to go you!

Today I will be sharing more about my weekly cleaning routine with you! This is how I maintain my home and keep things nice and tidy. I won't lie, it's not perfection 24/7 but we aren't aiming for perfection now are we? We are aiming for something sustainable, that takes stress off of our already too-full plates! (I am highly in demand!) So of course, I will be sharing some tips that make my life simpler in this way!

Ok! Before we jump into some awesome tips to maintain your clean spaces, I wanted to make sure you had your Day 3 Checklist.

7 DAY QUEST FOR LESS: DAY 3 CHECKLIST

Today's Quest is to choose 2 or more categories from this list to declutter! If you feel inspired, tackle all of the categories!

  • Towels

  • Sheets

  • Extra bedding

  • Throw Pillows

  • Blankets

  • Hand & Dish towels

And of course here is your Evernote Checklist.

Are you enjoying Evernote so far? I would love to hear what you think about it!

A quick note for your decluttering checklist today, any of the items you decide you are ready to let go of, I would recommend donating them to a local animal shelter in your community. Most animal shelters are in need of these items to help make life comfortable for the animals they are housing, and you will feel so good knowing that you were able to make a difference in this way!

Cleaning, Cleaning, Cleaning

Now, I am super excited to share about my routine with you! It’s not because I love to clean, it’s because I know what works for me, and what works for my home!

What I will be sharing with you however, is not written in stone.

Some days I don’t tackle everything on the list, and that is ok. One of the most important things to keep in mind, especially as moms, is that we aren’t obligated to do all the things all of the time. We need to be ok with not getting everything on the list done.

However, when we have less items taking up space in our home, even the days we don’t get everything done aren’t so awful, as the home still looks moderately tidy.

Today is extra special, because you get an additional Evernote checklist for your cleaning routine!

Now you will be able to try out a new “circuit style” cleaning routine to see if that works in your home. As an added bonus, if you have older children, you can delegate many of these tasks to them.

Your little ones can help out too with some of the chores on this list, as you know what their abilities will allow them to do! Getting your family involved in your decluttering and your cleaning will also help your household as a whole, and give you that “we are all on the same team” kind of vibe.

Your challenge today is quick and simple too!

Follow me on Pinterest (if you aren’t already) and leave a comment on one of my pins that inspires you!

Get yourself amped up for tomorrow! Day 4 is our midway point and you are not going to want to miss out on it! I will be sharing something BIG! Talk to you tomorrow!

xoxo
