Melaleuca

More commonly known as "Tea Tree Oil", Melaleuca is widely used all over the world! We use Melaleuca in our home regularly and it's great for so many different reasons! When I was a teenager I used Melaleuca regularly to help cleanse and support my changing skin. I wish doTERRA had been around back then, as I know using a pure oil works SO much better!

If you have used Tea Tree (Melaleuca) oil before, then you know about its amazing benefits. If you haven't, you're sure to find a use that will make you definitely want to add this wonderful oil to your collection. Did you know that Melaleuca oil is good for oral health? Add 3–4 drops of Melaleuca on your toothbrush before adding toothpaste, then brush teeth and gums to promote a clean, healthy mouth.

Diffusing Tea Tree oil can help purify and freshen the air in your home. When diffusing Melaleuca oil on its own, use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice. Looking for a revitalizing diffuser blend that will freshen and purify any room? Add 2 drops of Lemon, 2 drops of Eucalyptus, 1 drop of Melaleuca, and 1 drop of Peppermint to your diffuser for a rejuvenating diffuser bend that will cleanse the air and awaken your senses.

Like I mentioned, Melaleuca is best known for its purifying qualities and its cleansing and rejuvenating effects on the skin. After shaving, apply Melaleuca to keep skin looking smooth, healthy, and free of irritations. Did you know that Tea Tree oil is in 12 of doTERRA's kits? This is a great, versatile oil to have on hand. In Australia, Melaleuca is the third most diverse plant genus with over 250 species. It belongs in the myrtle family, commonly known as paperbarks, honey-myrtles or tea-trees.
