Darkness: Poetry Series

Darkness

I slip and slowly start to fall

into the bottomless pit

I reach for your hand, but you just stand there and

watch me...

laughing, laughing all the way until all I see is your face at

the top of this sea of black.

My heart wishes you were still with me

but my brain fights back, pushing

the tears down my face.

The tears fall as I fall,

into the never ending

black

abyss

beneath me.
