Directions for Use

Fresh Tropical Smoothie

No matter what time of year it is, I am always down for a nice fresh, tropical smoothie! This recipe is super easy, and of course can be enjoyed as a healthy treat, or tweaked into an alcoholic beverage. Whatever floats your boat, I definitely think you will enjoy this!

Ingredients

1 scoop vanilla TrimShake1 cup unsweetened original almond milk½ cup frozen pineapple½ cup frozen mango½ cup coconut Greek yogurt (or a yogurt of your choice)1 banana2 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil

Directions

  1. Blend until smooth.

Halloween Oil Blends!

Happy Halloween! Some of my closest friends are Halloween fanatics, and I KNOW that they just have to have their Halloween Blends! Today I am going to share a handful of awesome blends you can put together to use in your diffuser, in a roller bottle, and in the kitchen to whip up something delicious!

Any of these can be added to the diffuser or put into a roller bottle (multiply drops x3) and used as a perfume or emotional blend!

BOO-tiful Blend

-2 drops Myrrh

-2 drops Clary Sage

-2 drops Wild Orange

 

Dr. FRANKEN-style

-3 drops Frankincense

-1 drop Fennel

-4 drops Lime

 

What a GHOUL wants

-2 drops Ylang Ylang

-2 drops Lavender

PUMPKIN Snickerdoodles!

This recipe is from Cooking Classy, and I made a couple "essential tweaks" so that you can use it with our beautiful oils! I can guarantee that this recipe will make you the GHOST-ess with the mostest!

Prep Time: 25 minutes   Cook Time: 13 minutes   Yield: 3 dozen

INGREDIENTS:

    • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 3 1/2 tsp cornstarch
    • 1 tsp cream of tartar
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 + 1/8 tsp salt
    • 1 drop Cinnamon Essential Oil
    • 1 drop Ginger Essential Oil
    • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 large egg yolk
    • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin puree
    • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
FOR ROLLING
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

  • In a mixing bowl whisk together flour, cornstarch, cream of tartar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon oil, ginger oil, nutmeg and allspice for 20 seconds, set aside.
  • In the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar (not until pale and fluffy, just to combined. Occasionally scrape down sides and bottom of bowl throughout entire mixing process if not using a paddle attachment that constantly scrapes bowl while mixing). Mix in egg yolk, then mix in pumpkin and vanilla extract. With mixer set on low speed, slowly add in dry ingredients then mix until combined. Divide dough in half and place each half in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and chill 45 minutes to 1 hour (dough should be slightly sticky so the cinnamon sugar will stick when rolling but they should be manageable to roll in the palms of your hands). Preheat oven to 350 degrees during last 10 minutes of refrigeration.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup granulated sugar with 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Scoop dough out 2 even tablespoons at a time (run the measuring spoon against side and edge of bowl so it will slightly deflate the dough while also giving an equal tbsp, twice per ball) and shape into a ball, roll dough ball in cinnamon sugar mixture to evenly coat then transfer to Silpat or parchment paper lined baking sheets spacing cookies 2-inches apart. Bake in preheated oven 12 - 14 minutes (they should look just slightly under-baked as they'll cook slightly once removed from oven). Cool on baking sheet about 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Lavender

Last weekend, my family and I drove to a ranch in the middle of the mountains out here, and visited their Lavender festival! We had so much fun walking around the fields, smelling all of the lovely flowers and taking in the aroma. Of course... I was snapping photos like a mad woman. We enjoyed every moment and it really was a great family outing. If you have the chance to go to a lavender festival near you, definitely DO!

Most of us have experienced lavender in one way or another. In our home we use doTERRA, and it is amaaaaazing! In any case, lavender is one of my personal favorite oils and I will tell you why! Lavender has been used and cherished for centuries for its unmistakable aroma and myriad benefits. In ancient times, the Egyptians and Romans used Lavender for bathing, relaxation, cooking, and as a perfume; it is widely used for its calming and relaxing qualities which continue to be Lavender’s most notable qualities. Lavender is frequently used to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections. Add to bath water to soak away stress or apply to the temples and the back of the neck. Add a few drops of Lavender to pillows, bedding, or bottoms of feet to promote a restful night’s sleep. Due to Lavender’s versatile properties, it is considered the must-have oil to have on hand at all times.

Lavender is great for so many things and supports the body in multiple ways, especially when it comes to emotions, and helps support better communication with others, and bringing out your voice. Here are some of the main ways to use lavender:

 

LAVENDER

• Soothes occasional skin irritations

•Taken internally, Lavender reduces anxious feeling and promotes peaceful sleep

•Helps ease feelings of tension.

• Add a few drops of Lavender to pillows, bedding, or bottoms of feet at bedtime.

I also wanted to share a few of my favorite Lavender recipes with you!

LAVENDER MASCARA

INGREDIENTS:

-Empty/new mascara container

-Oral syringe

-1 1/2 tsp aloe vera gel

-10 capsules activated charcoal, open and emptied  OR Use Cocoa Powder if you would prefer Brown

-3 tsp bentonite clay

-1 or 2 drops doTERRA Lavender essential oil

 

DIRECTIONS:

-Mix up all of the ingredients together until they are nice and smooth

-Use the oral syringe to fill the mascara tube(s)

-Apply 2-3 coats, allow each coat to dry before reapplication.

 

I actually just made this recipe with some of my teammates at a recent get together. It was super fun! I love hanging out, talking oils, and creating something new with friends!

-1 or 2 scoops Vanilla Trimshake

-1 drop Lavender essential oil

-8oz Almond Milk

-1 banana

 

DIRECTIONS:

-3 drops Lavender

-3 drops Lime

 

TRIP TO THE SPA

-2 drops Bergamot

-2 drops Lavender

Smoothie Time!

Ok, this is IT! This is my HANDS down, ABSOLUTE, FAVORITE, Smoothie recipe ever! It doesn’t take very much time to prepare, it’s super tasty and incredibly filling. This recipe will make enough for 2 large servings or 3 small-medium servings.

INGREDIENTS:

-Peppermint Essential Oil

-Vanilla TrimShake Protein

-1 scoop TerraGreens

-Raw Local Honey

-Coconut Water

-Fresh Mango or Strawberries (I like Mango!)

-Fresh Lime (or 1 drop Lime Essential Oil)

-Himalayan Pink Salt

-Avocado

-Ice

DIRECTIONS:

-Add 2 cups of coconut water to your blender. Add in 1 or 2 scoops of the Vanilla TrimShake, and TerraGreens.

-Take about 1 cup of mango and add that to your blender.

-Shake or grind a bit of the salt into your hand, and pinch off a bit to add to the blender.

-Halve and remove the pit from the avocado. Add both halves to the blender. (No skin of course!)

-Cut the Lime in half and squeeze about 2tbs worth (or more if you like!) in, or add 1 drop of your Lime Essential Oil.

-Squeeze or spoon in about 2tbs of your honey.

-Put the ice in the blender.

-And of course, last but not least, add 1 drop of peppermint essential oil. YES! One drop is plenty. I promise!

-Go ahead and blend until your delicious drink is nice and smooth, with no lumps or ice chunks.

-Pour into pretty glasses and enjoy with a friend or by yourself! YUM!
